Visiting us is easy!  You'll find an interactive map on the home page, so you'll know where we're located.  Let us give some step-by-step pointers, designed to make your visit comfortable!

Who's invited?

All are welcome here.  Children are welcome to stay in worship with you, but we offer Worship and Wonder for ages 3-grade 6.

What should i wear?

We're a fairly informal bunch; most of us dress "business casual" -- women generally wear slacks, skirt/blouse; men usually wear chinos and polo shirts.  But feel free to dress as you feel comfortable.

what should i bring?

Just bring yourself.  Some of us bring bibles, if we're going to a class.  There are pew bibles in the worship space, plus our readings are printed in the bulletin.  Bring any equipment you may need for small children: diapers, wipes, bottles, etc.

gathering and service times

Coffee hour begins at 8:30 a.m.

Christian Education for all ages begins at 9:00 a.m.

Worship begins at 10:00 a.m.

Children Worship and Wonder begins in the worship space and moves to their own area once worship has begun.  (An adult leader will accompany all children to that area).

parking

Parking is located behind the church complex, on the south side.  Access the lot via Cherry Alley, running along the east side of the building.  Take 3rd Street to the church.  turn south into the alley.  Follow the alley back to the parking lot.  The church owns the entire blacktopped area, as well as the deck on 4th Street.  Feel free to park anywhere!  There are designated handicapped spaces available next to the building.

entering the building

Walk along Cherry Alley toward 3rd Street.  You will see a set of double doors past the basement windows.  That entrance will take you into our fellowship area.  There you will find restrooms and an ADA ramp to the upper level and access to our classrooms and worship space.

If you wish to enter by the front of the building, you can continue down Cherry Alley to our worship space.  There's another, exterior ADA ramp right on the alley that will take you directly into the rear of the worship space.  Looking for the main entrance?  Walk past the ramp to 3rd Street, turn left, and you'll find the steps leading to our front doors.

what to expect in worship

Our worship is a blend of traditional and contemporary elements.  Please feel free to participate as much or as little as you feel comfortable.  We have a service bulletin to point you through the service.  We use hymnals and songbooks (provided in the pew racks), but we project the words to all music onto screens, too.

We celebrate Communion every week -- in fact, it's the focal point of our worship.  All are welcome at the Lord's table -- no matter who you are, who you love, how you identify, or what you believe.  Communion is served in your pew.  Bread is consumed as it is passed.  The cup is held until all have been served, and the Pastor will direct us to consume in unison.

There will be songs, scripture readings, prayers, a sharing of gratitude and concerns, a message from the Pastor, an opportunity to give, and, of course, Communion.

We will not embarrass you in any way by calling attention to you at any point in the service, although you can expect to be warmly greeted by friendly and inquisitive members both before and after the service.

how long will the service last?

The service generally lasts for about an hour.  Coffee fellowship is at 8:30, so you are free to return to your car immediately following the service.

how do i participate?

Again, all are welcome here.  You don't need to be a member to participate in any of our activities.  You are invited to participate as much or as little as you feel comfortable, and to share as much or as little of yourselves with us as you wish.
